Historical retrospective
Workbench and visible evidence: October 3–5
The Workbench turns retained observations and recording examples into something we can inspect and compare, without turning an unavailable actor state or passive adviser suggestion into a gameplay success.
The problem
Reviewers need to see the evidence behind a decision: its observations, missing fields, comparison results and limits. Inspection tools make those boundaries easier to understand.
What changed
October 3 added passive snapshots and exports. October 4 added Actor Inspector, Actor Compare, Economy Lab and Economy Compare. October 5 bound versioned recording examples, expanded the accepted catalogue, and added passive adviser comparison and bounded imports.
Evidence and review
The current October 5 composition passed exact source, offline and finite HTTP review with 127 routes, 21 recording pairs and 20 adviser rows. Earlier examples remain retained as history. Browser rendering, downloads, native authentication and durable replay are separate qualification gaps.
Result and limits
Inspectors and comparisons can show fixture decisions while keeping actual actor state unavailable. Economy output does not apply configuration. The current catalogue supersedes the earlier route/example extent within its accepted scope; Darin is separate from the 21 pairs.
Next priorities at the checkpoint
Review the actual browser presentation and the authenticated native observation path when separately authorized. Preserve the current finite examples and explicit unavailable states as the baseline.
