Historical retrospective

NORA catch-up: September 26–October 5 (UTC)

Prepared October 5, 2026. This retrospective follows the work from controlled identity and movement foundations into earned progression, evidence-aware decisions, and a Workbench that lets us inspect the results. The original milestone dates are retained below.

The problem

The development history spans several separate review waves. A useful catch-up needs to explain the behavior that changed, rather than repeat every test run or correction.

What changed

September 28–29 tightened movement and operator controls. October 1 demonstrated one saved identity through a bounded native lifecycle rehearsal. October 3–5 added progression plans, guarded knowledge and party decisions, recording examples, and inspection tools.

Evidence and review

The evidence has different strengths: the October 1 native rehearsal is specific and bounded; most later milestones were accepted for exact source and offline fixtures. The current combined Workbench also passed finite HTTP checks.

Result and limits

The latest accepted Workbench brings 21 recording pairs and 20 adviser rows together. Darin's newer quest receipt is a separate demonstration. Browser rendering, portable distribution, durable gameplay and a complete live journey still need their own evidence.

Next priorities at the checkpoint

Complete the review of this updated catch-up, reconcile retained delivery history, then obtain approval for the exact rendered messages and destination. This retrospective is prepared now; it has not been sent.

This overview provides historical context and claims no canonical delivery coverage.

The retrospective's local preparation was reviewed. At the October 5, 2026 checkpoint, publication and delivery were held, and historical confirmation remained incomplete.
